I tell anyone who mentions it to me, “that if I rank number so and so in the list of the most influential political blogs in the state, the pond is awful shallow, the well ain’t too deep and the turnip truck ain’t half full.”

That is usually good for a laugh.

I just wish the debate was straightforward. For instance you discuss the “problem” of voter fraud without saying there is no evidence of any such thing happening in Missouri in recent history. On the other hand, even proponents of the ID law admit many regular voters will not be able to vote in the next election if it passes.

So, we have no problem, and we have a “solution” that will keep voters from voting.

And let’s certainly not discuss this in the context in which it has been raised: as a Karl Rove program (our US attorney in West. Distr. of MO was fired for refusing to file bogus cases right before the 2004 election) to help conservatives at the expense of voting democrats.

With milk being nearly $4 a gal now, I didn’t know the states dairy industry needed a boost.

Where and with who did all this start?
How much money was used to get this job done?

Is there any way to find all that out?
We need a good investigative reporter around here.
