City Utilities is having a meeting on raising your natural gas rates.
The Citizens Advisory Council of City Utilities of Springfield is having a public hearing on Thursday at 3:30 in the C. Frank Knox Board room of City Utilities, 301 East Central, where they will discuss a proposed rate increase…which they haven’t made public yet. After that, the rate increase proposal will go to the Board of Public Utilities. If the board approves, it goes to the City Council for additional public input.
I really wish the Citizens Advisory Council would have a meeting in the evening when a majority of CU customers aren’t working at their jobs. Give more of the customers a realistic chance to make their voice heard to the Council and to CU.
