I really despise these things but I thought this one might be fun because it would make a few people roll their eyes with a “how did I not see that coming” kind of response. Jim @ Busplunge and Jack @ Fat Jack’s both hit me with this one. Basically, you grab the nearest book and turn to page 123. You go to the fifth sentence and then type it and the following three sentences.
OK, you asked for it Jim and Jack:
Fifth sentence: “And they put him in custody till the will of the LORD should be clear to them.”
Following three: “Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, ‘Bring out of the camp the one who cursed, and let all who heard him lay hands on his head, and let all the congregation stone him. And speak to the people of Israel, saying, Whoever curses his God shall bear his sin. Whoever blasphemes the name of the LORD shall surely be put to death.”
What other book did you think would be closest to me on a Sunday morning? (That’s Leviticus 24-11:16 in the English Standard Version, by the way…)
