If you didn’t make the citizen’s search committee for a new Springfield City Manager or couldn’t apply because of the time demands of the group…here’s your chance to sound off!
There will be a public meeting on Monday, 5:30pm, at the City Council chambers. (Because it’s the same night as a regular council meeting, it will end at 6:45pm even if people are left to speak. In that case, a second session will be scheduled to accommodate other people who would like their voices heard.) The committee wants to hear what “qualities and characteristics [citizens] would like to see in Springfield’s next City Manager.”
Each citizen will be given approximately three minutes to speak and express their views.
In addition to the meeting, you can sound off with a survey at the city’s website or by mailing comments to the City Clerk’s Office, P.O. Box 8368, Springfield, MO 65801.
