Robert Goulet has died while waiting for a lung transplant. He was 73.
What I loved about Goulet was how he could allow us to laugh at him like in the Emerald Nuts commercial, a Weird Al video and the Naked Gun movie. I like when you have a big star who’s not afraid to laugh at themselves a little bit. (That’s why I like Shatner too.)
Rest in piece, Robert.

Did you ever see a Blooper and Praciticle Jokes where Goulet was disguised as a “Robert Goulet-look-a-like” who was supposed to take lessons from Rich Little on how to sing like Goulet. Little figured out it was the real Robert Goulet underneath the make-up and began making jokes about him.
Robert Goulet was a great singer who taught the world to dream the impossible dream.
