The autism walk was incredible! We had several hundred folks who braved the rain at Jordan Valley Park to take a stand for families who are dealing with autism. It was great to see so many people supporting their friends and family members.
I hope to get some pictures soon to post here about the walk. I want to give big props to Amy Burnett and the committee for their efforts in making the day memorable.
We did better than expected because Eli didn’t sit down and refuse to walk like he did last year! In fact, he spent most of the walk actually with my fiancee, his brother & sister and our friends Daniel and Amanda. Daddy was able to run forward with Eli when he decided it was time to jump ahead of everyone else!
Thank you to all who promoted the walk on your blogs and those who came out to walk with us. I’ll write more once I get some pictures.

I’m glad to read that it went well.
I looked for reporting on it on the news that night and didn’t see any. That was disappointing.
Was there coverage that I missed AFTER the event?
I know there was radio coverage before the Walk but unless I missed it I didn’t see anything in local television news reporting after the fact.
417 Magazine came to take some pictures but other than that the local media completely ignored the event. I know of many people in attendance who were disappointed that our rally didn’t merit any coverage at all in the minds of our local newspaper or television stations.
Still, I’m thankful for the radio stations that promoted the event and care about their community.
Well, my apologies for not being able to make it, myself, Jason. It certainly did deserve more coverage.
Yes, I’m thankful for the radio stations that promoted it as well.
I know CFP got a bit of a late listing on the event at their website. I think they ran it at the website the day before and day of the event.
There’s always next year. We can all try to do better next year.
